In conjunction with South-Western City Schools and other local educators, we should work to address the gap in early learning pre-kindergarten, rebuild the Gantz Barn, and leverage the Brookpark site. ![]() Carmel site, is another goal I want to see through to improve access and safety and to alleviate congestion. It is also a priority to solve the inferior cellular and data issues by working with a third-party vendor and the Telecom companies.Ĭontinuing to strategically plan and partner to leverage funding opportunities to enhance the connection of the east side of Grove City to the west, by way of an I-71 overpass at the Mt. We need to continue to ensure our city remains as safe as possible and sustain our efforts to attract higher-paying jobs. Together, we have achieved a lot – but there is still work to be done. In addition, Grove City residents benefitted from increased police protection and numerous, major road improvements through state and local partnerships. The median home sale price steadily increased over the last three years as well, and the average household income for Grove City residents has grown annually – for the last five years. All of this was achieved with no City tax increases (as has now been the case for 35 years)! In the last two years, we gained $11.9 million in City income tax revenue – and the City has a balanced budget with substantial reserves. Twenty-two new businesses and employers joined Grove City in 2022, and we have added 4,700 new jobs in the last three years alone. We look after each other, support those in need, and understand the importance of protecting one another.ĭuring uncertain and challenging times, our commitment to strong and balanced commercial growth has allowed us to achieve a great deal. That is what Grove City’s small-town feel is all about. Throughout the pandemic and other events over the last few years that continue to test our resolve, we are reminded our community’s strength is built upon the relationships we have with each other. ![]() I am extremely proud to serve as Mayor of Ohio’s “Best Hometown” – with Grove City earning the Ohio Magazine recognition in 2023 – the only community in the state to earn the award three times! ![]()
